Wintron was $190 when I bought it, I don't know if it has changed
since then. www.wintrontech.com

IMO, If only your HVT is bad then the Wintron is an easier solution
to install (pull old HVT, enlarge mounting holes, install new HVT).
But if your HV board is shot the new board is a great alternative.
(New board requires moving entire wiring harness and obtaining some
additional components that are not included). Honestly my HVT board
had so many problems that had the new board been available at the
time I probably would have gone that route.

If you follow Michael Kelly's HV Guide, you can completely test out
your existing HV board easily. Then you'll know if it is worth
fixing. Basically do the +24/-24 & +30/-30 voltage checks with the
BU406D pulled. If everything looks good I would definitely keep the
HV board and go with the Wintron. If any of the voltages aren't
right you'll have to decide whether its worth troubleshooting and
fixing or not.

Remember to check voltages at pins 7 & 8 on the amplifone deflection
board (9-pin plug, pin 6 is the ground). Because if you aren't
getting +30V & -30V from there, you certainly aren't going to get ANY
HV board to work.
