Just curious,
Have you confirmed that you plugged the harness in the right way? I
seem to recall that Tempest wiring harness conversion boards required the
user to kind-of flip the smaller connector upside down. Dave Shuman stopped
by my place years ago with an MH <=> Tempest conversion board and we had a
similar problem at first in my Tempest (2nd game I ever owned back in
1996...wow, time flies).
However, judging by the error code, I think a flakey POKEY is your
problem...
By the way, you can get LETA chips off Crystal Castles in the event
you cannot locate the part. I think Roadblasters' daughtercard has one as
well? I might had a dead Roadblasters daughtercard...email me privately and
I'll see if I can dig it up.
You are Steve Prendergast (sorry if I butchered the spelling) in
Pittsburgh, right? If so, I still have that Gravitar cab I bought from you
years ago :) !

Update:
I've been poking around Google and found that the LETA chip at (I think it
is) location 12N can also cause lack of spinner movement - where can I find
one of those without stealing one from an Atari System II PCB?
Thx!
