Looks like d504 on a G05-801 is a 1N914. on a G05-802, d504 is the LED.
I am referring to the '802' manual below
Page 20, about 60% down.

Hmmm, manual I looked at has D504 being an 1N914 diode at the junction
of C508, C509, & D505. Either being shorted or open would kill the spot
killer. D507 is the LED.
Maybe I have a different manual.
