not forgotten, just not had time to look at the schematics yet.

the watchdog works like this,
the clock circuit runs a counter,
when the counter reaches maximum/minimum it sends a reset to the cpu.
the cpu resets this counter before it gets that far(normally)

you should be doing these tests with NO POWER TO THE MONITOR!
