Thanks, That did the trick. After I got your email, I thought about
it more and I realized I had to put it on freeplay through the test
screen before. I had forgotten about that. It didnt seem logical that
the AVG chip would affect that. No harm done. Its back to normal. :-)
Peter Jones commented that he believes I dont understand schematics. I
do understand them to some degree. I have problems understanding which
way the data flows. What part of the circuit controls a function at
another part of it. Im trying to figure this out. If I could understand
what controlled what, then I could figure out where the problem is
originating from.
I found a block diagram with my Star Wars schematics just a minute ago
that has shed some light on how it all works together. Its for a Star
Wars but the AVG section should be the same. I dont full understand all
of it yet but Im learning. :-)
I want more than to fix this one board I want a working knowledge of
how it all works. Im looking for information that will help me gain this
knowledge. Thats why I have this list. I would love to give Alex Yeckley
some business, but that would kind of defeat the purpose of what Im
trying to accomplish. I will be sending you some Sea wolf boards in the
future though Alex. I just havent gotten around to it yet.
I only have a DMM and a Logic Probe to work with. I dont have a cat
box. I would love to find one. Not any easy task though. And pretty
expensive I can imagine. Can any Signature Analyzer work ? Its a tool I
would like to have.
Well I appreciate the input I have been given so far. If my lack of
understanding has been annoying to anyone I apologize. I just want to
learn. :-)
Thanks,
Dan Piraino
