Electrohome G08 EHT Power Transistor

I have an electrohome G08 with a bad Power Transistor on the EHT chassis. This is Q900 which is 5a 1400v NPN transistor in a TO-3 package.
It looks like the BU207 transistor, used on the Wells Gardner 6400, is pretty close to the same thing. 5.0A,1300-1500V,55W NPN.

Are these interchangeable?
