I swapped the AVG chip with a Cowgil replacement and it didn't help. Is there a self diagnostics for the PROMS?
I don't think so. They have to be removed and read by a chip reader. (Update: it so happens that a friend handed me a _Star Wars_ boardset this morning and those four mathbox PROMs are socketed.)
