In my case, the 2 bad G05-802 HVTs had complete shorts between pins that normally read low ohms... (tested with the HVT removed) Will have to check notes as to which pins. Too bad electrohome couldnt have used locking nuts to help fasten the HVT instead of soldering them with a standard nut...

Seems like I've come acoss a lot more cracked/bad 6100 HVTs vs. 802's, probably just my bad luck! ;-)

I'm about to tackle a small load of 801 cages, maybe they'll win the 'bad HVT' prize....

Iirc it was around 20 ohms, but my memory is a bit flakey !! Obviously a much higher impedance (or infinite) shows up a problem. Mine was open circuit, and took quite a lot of patience to fashion a 'temporary' repair which seems to be failing again.
