Nowhere near the right wavelength or power level.
Someone (Logical Systems?) used to make a small eraser that used a flash
tube. You just put it on top of the window and let it strobe for about
5 SECONDS and the chip was erased.
They learned something similar to this at my Real Job a few years ago.
They were setting up a demonstration of the engineering unit of one of
our radar systems. They had the photographer take some photos and found
the unit no longer worked because it erased the program (being the
engineering box they didn't have covers on the windows).
IMPORTANT! Most Nintendo games don't have the windows on the EPROMs
covered. NOT a good idea.
