Armor Attack

Hi;
I have a new problem with my AA and was hoping that someone else who had the same problem might be able to shed some light on my situation.
All was well until last night, when I fired it up, the scores are gone. The game seems to play correctly, sounds and display with the exception of the scores, those areas are black, (four corners).
When I hit a target, the "player 1 score" flashes for a moment my current score, approximately an inch up from the center of the screen, then disappears.
Has anyone else had this issue?
