I purchased and installed Tom's replacement rubber centering devices and
while they did the job they are not as good as the original. If you can
find good originals that are not drying out then you should consider
getting them.

However it will be very hard to find usable originals unless they were
sealed in a bag for all these years (I don't have any left).
