Tried another set of rings earlier today, no noticable difference. As far as the lines I can't converge, the right side of screen red lines at top and bottom are above blue lines, left side red is above blue on top and slightly below blue on bottom. I took a pix of what I am starting with after purity adjustments, pix isn't the best, I couldn't get it any clearer.

Here's another thing that may tell something I am unable to do the purity adjustment as outlined in the manual. I have the rings right over the gap between the 3 & fourth grid, I used a magnifing glass to position them exactly. The manual states with green grid on screen, move yoke back to the rings and there should be a green band in middle with red and blue bands on either side, thern turn purity rings till the bands are equal in width. When I do this I get nearly all green with a tiny bit of blue and red on each side and no matter how I position the rings the width of the green band is nearly full screen. I've tried movings rings forward and back a bit didn't notice very much of a change. Am I simply not doing this right? I've converged 3 rasters when I did tube swaps and got them aligned with out too much fuss. I know vectors are more difficult according to what I have read I'm at a loss here. Any ideas, thoughts.

Try some other rings.... They are pretty standard so you could grab them off another tube if you have one kicking around.
I would think a mask issue would manifest itself more like a color shift on a line, not an offset line. For the lines that you cannot converge, is one color below another color on the bottom half of the monitor, then that same color 'above' its corresponding color on the top half?

No I haven't tried new rings, I'll try and borrow a set from Chad when I return the yoke today. As I mentioned I can't get the middle of the tube right, the grid pattern generated by the boardset has 15 squares horizontal and 11 vertical, using some tape and paper I blocked off all but the center 9 squares and started from there to align the red/blue, can't get them perfectly set, the top middle and bottom middle square of the nine will not fall into alignment with the others. I have tweaked the yoke placement, ring placement dozens of times and have yet to get those 9 squares perfect. From what I have read on the web, KLOV and such one should have no problem aligning the middle. I'm wondering now if maybe the mask has warped or as one vector member mentioned one of the guns could be slightly out of alignment if that is possible. The game originally sat in a warehouse for a number of years and sustained some minor water damage on the top which leaked over the tube and boardset area, the game was covered in thick crud in the water leaked area, there was no HV board so the anode hole wasn't covered by the suction cup, maybe some water and stuff got in there and now that the game is in use some problems are starting to crop up. Yoke was loose and detached from wedges, no convergence strips, rings loose and on backwards (set screw towards yoke). The HV and deflection boards have been rebuilt by reputable members of KLOV and the vector list. I've followed the purity/convergence instructions in the 6100 and Amp manual. Maybe I'll take a break for a few days and have at it again, besides my back is killing me from bending sideways while looking at the tube while moving the rings (LOL).

I'm familiar with the convergence proceedure so I do use the wedges and have some convergence strips as well, I realize that it won't be perfect but I'm barely getting close. I can't even get the center red/blue aligned 100%, Right now I'd settle for good convergence at top bottom and sides.

Can't help with the identification, but without wedges it's not likely you'll get the tube converged. There should be rubber wedges between the yoke and the back of the tube. Often you have to tilt the yoke either side to side or up and down or a combination of both before begining to use the convergence rings.

I borrowed the yoke from Chad at the Arcade cup and we were discussing the convergence problem earlier today when he asked was it an Amp tube, I told him I'm not 100% sure but 2 KLOV'r said they were about 99% sure it was. Quick background, the tube that came with game was at some point replaced or repaired, there aren't any labels except a warranty sticker from Academy Color Tube for 1 year. There is the raised glass lettering 25V100 and very faint white markings in upper left rear of tube that reads AWX00. Chad raised the thought that maybe I don't have an actual amp tube and if the yoke isn't proper for the tube I have convergence will never be attained properly. So I thought I'd ask the experts here to take a look at some pix of the tube perhaps we can figure out if it is or isn't an Amp. You can find the pix here.
Any help would be appreciated.

If the picture isn't upside-down or mirrored the yoke is wired right. The wire colors don't really matter, it's just how the batch was made.

I checked the ohms on the plug, pins 1&2, 3&5 they read the same on both yokes, if I check the colors I get the exact opposite, red/blue .6, yel&brn 1.3 ohms on orig yoke, red/blu 1.3 and yel/brn .6 ohms on borrowed yoke. So based on this I should be ok?
