I may have fixed #1. Need some more testing.
I also confirmed that #2 does not happen if I use the original menu (only change is running vm_menu.exe rather than vmmenu.exe.
Thoughts?

Working with the original menu. here are a couple of issues I am seeing.
First, if I run a game, exit to menu, run another, exit to menu, etc for 4-5 games, the menu stops loading games. I get the loading vmm.bat gamename on the screen, but nothing happens on the vector monitor.
Second, I am running in DOS. The windows 95 load screen come up. If i let it go, the menu comes up, but any key resets the computer. if I hit 'esc' to get rid of the screen, it works fine.

I've now got rotation fully working (as of about 10 mins ago!), currently you can press a key to rotate cw by 90 degrees til you get back to the right way around. I just need to get the setting read in from a cfg file or parameter now.
Sundance is an example I covered in the advanced usage readme in the downloadable zip - you have to pass it parameters to flip the x and y axes. You can do this with a bit of jiggery pokery of the vmm.bat file. The code to do this is listed in the file.

The next step will be to get it to read settings from a .cfg file. In there we can store key bindings and interface settings like rotation and last selected game. And whether you want the stars on in the background - Barry, well found - you don't miss a trick ;)
Rotation would be excellent... I bought mine intending to use it in my Tempest cab, and gave up on that theory when I realized the menu wouldn't support it (I ended up hosting mine in an Armor Attack cab.) One continual problem - a couple vertical games don't rotate correctly on a horiz. monitor - case in point my old favorite Sundance (ends up rotating to upside-down for some reason.) Could somebody check this out on their setup and tell me if I'm the only one getting this problem?
Cheers,
-Lewis
