I sure hope that the new components helps, but if you do actually need a new
CRT, try the sources listed on my page...
Go to http://www.biltronix.com/star_castle_5.html and scroll down a little
to just below the pictures to find links to Union Electronic Distributors
and Video Display Corp (less expensive). The new tubes are not very
expensive if you can find them. I expect that these sources still have
stock. Their sites will say "out of stock" or "cannot be supplied" but they
have exact equivelents and you cannot tell the difference and they work
perfectly well. You have to call and ask since their sites aren't very
good.

Several games used the same CRT such as

Atari
  Asteroids
  Battlezone
  Red Baron

and Cinematronics (and Vectorbeam and Rockola versions)
  Space Wars
  Star Castle
  Armor Attack
  Rip Off
  Solar Quest
  Tail Gunner

Warning: Stick to Sylvania or other. Never buy an old monitor that has an
Amperex CRT. It'll probably be super dim and unuseable. I've seen a couple
that were still working at about 50% brightness, but that's the best I've
ever seen.
