Vectorlist,
I've been working on a 6100 and I'm not getting any B+. The monitor came to me DOA, so I decided to just to rebuild the
whole thing.
It started out with a Blown Fuses at F101 and F600. Rebuilt the deflection board (caps, new diodes, upgraded to
LV2000). Replaced all Transistors on the frame.
Recapped most of the HV section (didn't have the C905 or C910 caps), replaced the two transistors on the cage and
replaced the Flyback.
The 6100 FAQ says that it could be a bad C905, but I don't think I have anything I can swap in there to test with.
So a couple of questions:
1) How likely is that cap being bad? if so would it prevent ANY high voltage from happening?
2) Is there another size I could swap it with? I have several 250V caps, but nothing in the 33uf range.
Anything else I should look at?
