DETAILS: This game was brought
to me from a long-time, semi-local
collector. It arrived fully working
and the CRT in the 25" Wells-Gardner K5515
monitor was excellent, but the entire
cabinet needed a complete overhaul and new
artwork was needed throughout. The
rotary controller needed a complete rebuild
as well.
COSMETIC
& MECHANICAL RESTORATION: Click on
the following links for full details about
the cabinet restoration that was done to
this game, as well as what went into
rebuilding the rotary controller:
ELECTRICAL REPAIRS/UPGRADES: Replaced the
power cord, the switching power supply, the
optic coupler for the rotary controller, the
25 Watt tubular incandescent marquee lamp and the coin door reject button
lamps. Additionally, all the
capacitors on the Wells-Gardner K5515
monitor chassis were replaced.
SERIAL
#UR03122 This game has matching
serial numbers on the cabinet, monitor
chassis, monitor CRT, both game boards, the
Audio II pcb and the power
supply chassis.
FAST FACT: 720° is notable in that
it is one of the first extreme sports video
games. The game's name comes from the
'ultimate' skateboarding trick: turning a
full 720° (2 complete circles) in the air
after jumping off a ramp.
