<DIV><FONT color=#000000 size=2>I just got this monitor as part of a trade and
it's got a problem I'm sorta scratching my head over. I had a very similar
problem several years ago and can't quite remember how I fixed it
then.</FONT></DIV>

<DIV><FONT color=#000000 size=2>It's a Wells-Gardner 19K46xx-series
monitor. This one has the plug-in boards that connect to the main
PCB. The problem with this is, it won't start up. No high voltage,
no deflection, etc. The B+ line is much higher than it should be... say
about 165 volts, instead of 127 volts. </FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT color=#000000 size=2></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT color=#000000 size=2>The power-regulator board doesn't appear to have
any shorted or open transistors on it, but I'm wondering about a little
thermistor called TH501. I seem to recall that if this thing gets too high
in resistance, it will cause the power regulator to make the B+ go too high,
which causes the horizontal-drive circuitry to shut off. </FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT color=#000000 size=2></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT color=#000000 size=2>Has anyone else run into something
similar? What should I look for? Open resistor elsewhere in the
monitor? Bad flyback? Bad thermistor? <BR></FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT color=#000000 size=2>Thanks!!!! I'm dying to get this monitor
up and running. </FONT></DIV></BODY></HTML>
