RE: WG Color XY Tubes

I haven't done any convergence/purity work for a color xy game yet
(although I did buy a tube for my tempest) but I've done several color
raster games. I bought a brand new tube for Gauntlet from Richardson
Electronics and it took me less than an hour to get it right. The trick,
for me, is to first pull the yoke back just far enough so there's no color
impurity in the corners (a solid red screen is the best to look at) - then
adjust the rings, with the tabs starting at zero correction - then move
the ring assembly up and down the tube until everything is uniform. The
only tricky part for me is to angle the yoke itself so that the
cross-hatch pattern is perfectly straight. For me - nothing looks better
than a game with a brand new tube in it.
