Oh yeah, and for what it's worth it's pretty easy to hack a 64 level intensity
card to the 16 level intensity card needed for a Sundance. The signals are
inverted, so a different gate is needed, and 4 pins need to be moved. You end
up with a better 16 level card than was originally used for Sundance. (Some
extra protection diodes and such were added to the Solar Quest card).

With a few jumpers it probably wouldn't be too hard to layout a board that
could be populated to be a 64 or 16 level card.
