Star Wars BIP problem?

I noticed that the left and right halves of the "shields remaining" graphics
in my Star Wars do not line up with each other. It's always been this way.
What's interesting to me is that when the shields are green, they do not
align. When they are a different color, (yellow I think) they align
properly. Is this a BIP adjustment issue or something else?
