yep, that was mine(WinTron). I belive after getting a replacement one that the
reason it went had to do with something else on the HV board since
the new one was also running pretty warm. Im going to replace the
red mystery can and see if it helps. But... on a sidenote... I took
apart a 'mystery can' about a year ago and all it contained was air
core inductors of about 18 turns each. With the way it is potted
I can't see how anything could go 'bad' in them.

Yes, they are built very well. I took my bad one apart and documented
everything inside
including turns on the main transformer. It was pretty interesting.
