My mini does the exact same thing, a quick whack to the left side of
the cab fixes it but eventually the bass from the speaker brings it back.
It just started doing this, so I only got as far as tapping the PBC with
my finger to make it come and go. Probably just a cold joint or a dirty
IC leg.
