Hi,
Four years ago, I changed jobs and haven't had much time for game stuff
until recently. Started reading rgvac again and soon realized I didn't
recognize any names. I know a few of you on this list though, so I think
I'll hang around here for a while. :)
At one point, I owned seven or eight Atari B&W vector games and even had all
five titles. Sadly, only two remain... a BZ cabaret in my cube here at work
and my Asteroids upright at home. I really miss my old LL and RB <sniff>.
The only color vectors I have at this time are Tempest and SW.
Anyway, I ran across mention of someone using a Vectrex monitor for playing
the old Atari B&W vectors on a little countertop unit. Did this ever pan
out? What's the status? Sounds like a neat idea, however I'd rather use
the tube out of a little 5" B&W TV if I could figure out a deflection
circuit and implement the game hardware within an FPGA. AND, I would start
with Lunar
Lander. :)
