I borrowed an idea that I saw at Tom Wisnionski's place. He was using PC
"power controllers" that sit underneath your monitor with separate switches
and outlets for your printer, monitor, computer, and one or two Aux devices
(usually 5-6 outlets total). These things usually have nice long power
cables so they'll usually sit on top of a game and still reach outlets. A
Kensington made unit I have handy says it is rated at 15A. The controllers
don't seem to be too fashionable in recent years so if you ask around, you
can usually find a few for free.
