This SW I'm working on was cheap because it needed cabinet work in addition
to electrical. It had been damaged in shipping -- one top of the cabinet was
separated on one side, and the marque mount was in pieces. The marquee
itself is intact, but is flaking anyway -- already found a new one.
I'm in the process of putting the pieces of the mount back together, but I
can't for the life of me figure out what keeps the marquee in place. What I
have is this:
o A flat board with a rounded front bolts to the top.
o A rectangular piece of chipboard makes basicly a frame over the
opening. This is what was in pieces.
o A metal piece screws to the bottom of this, but faces inward tward the
speaker grill.
o The marquee sits nicly in grooves in the front of the frame.
BUT -- what keeps in there ? I can see ramenants of tape. Was it just taped
in place, or glued, or something down the sides that I'm missing ? There is
nothing like the normal metal tracks for it to sit in.
