Off course I'm using the original supply! I did hardwire the 5 VDC line in
(removing the molex connector on the power supply). Does the connector on
the cage also burn?

The assumption here is the XY generator is effected by the ripple in the
+5VDC & not from the monitor right?

The spot killer idea sound good and I'll probably look into that.

I may place a SPS in there once I get closer to installing Atari games.
