First-UNPLUG THE MONITOR!!!! (You DON'T want to add it to the list of
problems).

Now, do you get any sounds when either board is put into self test? Have
you checked that the Vcc on the logic boards is between 5.00 and 5.25Vdc?
You might try moving the interconnect card edge connector between the two
boards, might have a bad contact...Take a look at the board edge connector
plug-any signs of overheating? Usually on the Vcc or power return (ground)
pins.

On the board that is not having a Watchdog reset is the CPU getting a
proper Reset when the Reset button is pressed? Is there activity on the
data and address busses?

On the board with continuous watchdog, do you get Reset pulses at the CPU?
ACtivity on ALL data and Address lines to the Eproms and RAM?

I would even try splitting the boards up, and testing the "working" MPU
(the one with no Watchdog resets) with the Aux board to see if you then can
get the game sounds.

Once you get game sounds, then test the X and Y outputs with a
voltmeter-they should be around 1 - 4VAC relative to ground. And if normal
attract mode they would be changing, and if the board is put into "Test"
they should be steady.

Just a few tests to start narrowing down the problem...
