Sounds like a problem reading your roms; actually, I'm surprised it works at all.

Start with the basics:

- make sure you have the roms in the correct locations
- reseat the roms one at a time
- and make sure there are no bent pins under the roms

We know the images are good, so we can always make more if we have to.

FYI, I loaded them and they work just as you described (initially :-).
I spent about 20 minutes alternating playing one and the other and
didn't notice any difference in the game play or the sound.

I can't remember enough morse code to tell if the two are the same.
The first letter is 'C'; had I thought about it, I would have listened for
the rest of "inematronics", but didn't think of it at the time.
The (morse) code is very short, so it's probably not all of the letters.
