Hi,
Good questions! None of the socket pins are shorted. I hadn't thought about
putting in the old chip. Just tried it, and I get the same error code that
pointed me to that chip to begin with! So with the old 2144 chip in, I get
an error saying it's bad, but with a new 9114 chip (or a different old 2114
I pulled from a non-working SEGA board), I don't even get far enough to get
an error code. Now I'm even more confused.....
