Yeh. That's correct. I downloaded the 2 manuals now. It was my dumb
mistake - i saw battlezone screenburn and made an incorrect assumption.

Unfortunately I'm not the guy to work this out. My electronic skills are
about as sharp as my skills at identifying monitors.
Looking at the schematics though the pinouts look almost identical
except for the addition of a single 100k resistor between pins 5 and 3.
Has anyone tried this?
