"Spot killer" in a G08

Last Sega question and Ill shut up

Is there any way to adjust the threshold of when the HV is cut off for a
G08?

I have an NOS g08, The thing is beautiful... Not a spec of dust on it,
no rust, still in the original box with original packaging material....
too bad it doesn't work.
The "spot killer" keeps tripping out the screen, Some time is Pulsates,
(you can here it as well as see it) then it will kick back on looking
great.
Just wondering if there was an adjustment before I perform a lobotomy on
the monitor and myself
