When I replace a burned edgeboard finger I will use the self adhesive copper strip intended for the purpose and solder it at both ends. Power connections are usually the only ones that get damaged and normally run both top and solder side so you can fold the tape over the edge and solder it down. Never had a problem with one coming loose.
For single fingers I would use the conductive epoxy trick. Never had to do this but seems like it would work fine and it is fairly durable. The Circuitworks pen type thing is quick and easy, although not cheap at around $14.
