RE: Asteroids Deluxe monitor question

Looking at the schematics....

Pin 13 of B12 - a 4016 - has the connection INVY. Pin 12 is NINVY. Maybe
the 4016 is mucked up? Or the INV signal is wrong..

I imagine this is rather simple but here goes.
On Asteroids Deluxe the monitor image should be inverted so that it
reflects into the
mirror and then is viewed properly from above right? I have one here

is right coming right off the monitor so that when it's reflected into
the mirror it comes

Why?

I'm feeling sheepish in that I should be able to figure this out but my
brain gets
inverted thinking about it. Somewhere in my brain I'm getting a message
to reverse
X/Y somehow but I'm not clear on how. I'm sure everyone will chuckle and
then point
me to the obvious but at least I'll get it right finally.
