Re: 10k potentiometer for Omega Race Spinner

Some Omega Races have an encoder wheel. In my case, I have a continuous turn 10k potentiometer that connects to an encoder. In actuality, it's a single turn pot but it doesn't have a stopper. So, once it does a full turn the resistance goes back to zero and round and round it goes.

  Please forgive the newbie question:

How does a continuous Pot work?

I think this is what I'm looking for, although it seems kind of expensive. But if it's better quality than the original, who cares.

      Hi All,

My OR does the same thing too. It's a 10K pot for sure.

The 10k pot on my Omega Race is dirty or something. So the ship doesn't turn smoothly at one point. What replacement part do you guys usually use?
I'm having a hard time finding a continuous turn pot that I can use as a replacement.

        thanks...
