Omega Race Spinner

Has anyone know a source for a replacement 10K pot for the Omega Race
spinner? Or has anyone ever come across an Omega Race that actually used
the Optical Encoder that is mentioned in the manual? I'm confused on how a
pot or an encoder could be used, can anyone enlighten me on how that was
possible? I would think that there would need to be changes to the Board to
allow it but I didn't see any mention of that.
