Subject: VECTOR: Problem with Space War - game stuck at 0:01 time
Trying to diagnose this remotely (game is at a museum in Tazmania!). Here is
what my customer said:
Space Wars - Has started to play up, the time stays at 0:01 and the two
scores flash wildly. The ships react to the buttons but stay in the default
positions, adding credits does nothing. Sometimes when the power is cycled
it will reset but tends to cut games short going to 0:01 then to 0:00. The
red led on the board flickers.
He has tried reseating the ICs, checked coin switch and 5VDC. I suspect this
is a board level problem and he will have to send the board back to me for
repair, but was wondering if anyone has any other ideas...
