Well the +/- 30 volts is good but there's no B+. HV probe should be coming soon. Is there a common culprit to look for when missing B+ though in the mean time?

Start with the basics; check all your fuses / fuse holders. Even without a high voltage prob you would get that familiar crackle of high voltage if you had it. If all fuses are good and still nothing check all your connectors; these are common points for cold soldier joints. If the monitor had power and no signal from the game board you should see the spot killer led lit on the deflection. Assuming deflection is good. I would recommend looking at the over voltage pot. R17 on HV. Do you have neck glow? How about your B+ voltage?
If the caps are not looking to swift; might not be a bad idea to shotgun all boards. As we all know some techs take shortcuts. I have a star wars up right and other than just doing preventative maintance my amplifone has been solid. I have had WG6100s do this to me though.
I would strongly encourage you get a high voltage prob; I use mine more than I thought I would and it beats guessing. ;-) Good luck!! Ed

Anyway, there's no picture at all. I can hear
chatter. No LED's are lit anywhere that I can see. I'm new
to Amplifones. What would you guys recommend as a first course of
action? I'm reading through the Amp FAQ right now but I thought
with that minimal info you might have some ideas right off the
bat. Also, I don't have an HV probe....I know that you can use the
B+ on WG6100's to check the HV range...is there a similar way to do that
with
these?
Thanks!
John
