HELP:WG color vector troubleshooting

I recently picked up a Space Duel with a non-working WG color vector monitor
(rev. P32x boards). Inspection of the monitor revealed R100/R102 completely
cooked and one of the diodes in the bridge rectifier shorted. I decided to
take the shotgun approach and just installed a Get Well Kit,an LV2000 and
all new bridge rectifier diodes, but it seems the problem may still exist.
After installing and adjusting the LV2000 per the instructions I
re-assembled everything and fired up the monitor. For about 30 seconds, I
was able to see a nice clear picture of Space Duel, then everything went
blank. I found the LED out on the positive side of the LV2000 and shut
everything down. The positive voltage regulator was too hot to touch.
Further testing found that the draw on the positive low voltage occurs only
when the high voltage PCB is connected to the deflection board. (Same
results with the neck board and all transistors connected or disconnected.)
Soooooo....... I haven't had time to thouroughly check out the HV PCB, but I
did a quick test and nothing was obviously shorted. Before I got back into
this, I thought I'd ask for suggestions as to where to start. Anyone seen
this type of thing before?

Oh and one more problem I might mention (as it was most likely the original
culprit). There was a problem with the original Space Duel board that was
in the game when I bought it. (I've since replaced it with a working one.)
As viewed on my scope, the vectors were being drawn on only one side of
center and at about twice the voltage they should be.

Thanks,
-Chris
