Wow - What a Piece of History

I've been away for a while, but I'm back. :-)

I saw this off of an eBay auction:

Ok. I can deal with the "mom" with the Pampers and the Renolds Wrap, and the
Dad with the Life mag and the 7up and the quarter in hand (I remember having
cool boots like that) , and even the younger sister drinking out of the the
Spiderman cup (I'll bet she's a babe by now - or old and fat). But what I
find confusing is the Tempest.

Ok, I accept the greens in the side-art are not very pronounced (could be
the photographic technique), but why is one of the coin-slot lights out?

But what is that box on the bottom-left of the left arm of the cross (at
8:00)?

And why is everyone so interested if it is game over at the 3rd level?

And what is the white line on the bottom left of the marquee (was it
splitting already)?

Interestingly, however, is that it has the side-art where the black comes
all the way to the front edge and the CPO doesn't mix the red and blues very
well (version 1, like Steve Gregory's).

Anyway, just wanted to say hello.
