I've solved more than one BZ problem by gently lifting the socketed ROMs up
just a hair from fully-seated. I understand the sockets are rotten quality
and this is only a temporary fix, but it seems to have lasted for a while
now. This also worked on a couple of Asteroids I've tended to. Good luck.
