If just R901 smokes, check:
   Q906 (inserted wrong)
   Q900 (missing spacer or black lead open)

Sounds like your HV is arcing somewhere. You'll need to pull the cover off
the HV unit and power it up in a dark room and look for blueish/purple
sparks to see where the arcing is occuring.
