Star Wars audio/regulator help

Hello everyone, well here I go again. Yesterday I installed a Bob Roberts
Atari Regulator/Audio 2 rebuild kit in my Star Wars board. I also put a new
+5V regulator (Q1-LM305) as the +5volts was shot and out putting over 10
volts. Today I tested it in the game with no other boards connected to check
for all the correct voltages and this is what I got,+ 5.00V, 12.93 at the
10.3 Vdc unregulated, +23.65v , -23.65, 11.94 at the + 12V Reg, - 12v at the
- 5v reg. :-O
Well, I think everything looks with in specs except the - 5v reg. I put my
other Reg/Aud board in (has not been rebuilt) and I get all the correct
voltages including - 4.99 at the - 5v reg so this tells me the problem must
be on the other board. Could the new - 5v reg(7905) in the kit be bad? I had
ordered 2 kits from Bob so I installed the - 5v reg from the other kit and
still get - 12 volts :-o, could both the regulators in the kits be bad? Well,
I installed the old - 5v reg that came off this board as I do believe the -
5volts was working before I installed the kit. Now I am getting - 6.5 volts
out of the -5v reg, is this OK? I don't believe my luck, can the 2 new
regulators have been bad? I just got my new Star Wars board set in the mail
today and it is supposed to be tested and 100% working. I don't want to try
it until I get the power supply working 100%. I believe that's what may have
happened to the board set that was in the game when I got it. All the LED's
stay on and it does nothing. Don't want to mess up this board. I will try to
find a new 7905 - 5volt regulator tomorrow but doubt my local supply store
will have them, if they do it will shock me. Thanks again in advance for any
opinions and suggestions.
Thanks,
Sam
