That is, in fact, exactly what I have been thinking about doing for the
Cinematronics monitors. After crawling through the schematics of all three
revisions, highlighting the differences between them (which, except for the
switch to the Keltron HV supplies, seem to be minor), I've been thinking
about importing the whole schematic into EAGLE PCB and laying out a new
board. (Sure, it's a lot of effort, but trying to retrofit my revision-A
monitor, with jumper cuts and a daughterboard, to accept a Keltron HV
supply would seem to be at _least_ as much work...)

Well, that's not _quite_ true; the HV transformers are generally not
off-the-shelf items, for example... and in some cases (such as the
CineMonitors) they do contain _obsoleted_ parts that would require some
effort to replace with "modern" equivalents, especially if there isn't a
drop-in replacement part available. However, I see no real reason why the
deflection boards for a Wells-Gardner, for instance, couldn't be
replicated; it's just a matter of someone investing the time and effort to
do it...

When they took the fourth amendment, I said nothing because I didn't deal drugs.
When they took the sixth amendment, I said nothing because I hadn't committed a crime.
When they took the second amendment, I said nothing because I didn't own a gun.
Now they've taken the first amendment, and I can't say anything about it.
